My name is Heather and I've been teaching yoga since 1997.

I started yoga with curiosity and an inner knowing that it would be good for me on some level, little did I know that it would change my life forever. Back then I suffered from depression and anxiety and often felt overwhelmed with life and I was hopeful that yoga would transform these states.

The first yoga class that I attended altered my mind state so profoundly I knew this was the right path for me. Before long I was committed to a daily yoga practice and I noticed how much this shifted my mental condition. Now I no longer experience those states and I am free to enjoy life without the overwhelm, the depression or the anxiety. After completing Iyengar Teacher Training I received my certification and, in time, with many years of ongoing training, I progressed through the levels in order to become a Senior Iyengar Yoga Teacher (level 3).

And guess what the #1 thing I've learned throughout this entire journey is...?  👉  You don't need fancy athletic apparel, gym memberships or a super stretchy body in order to learn and practice yoga. All you need is a willingness to begin and a commitment to continue... Once you commit to a regular practice of Yoga, you will experience a reconnection to a part of yourself that you felt was missing. You will feel good in your body AND in your mind. AND THAT RIGHT THERE is what inspires me to teach this method of yoga; to enable others to access the joy, ease and freedom that quickly develop once you begin the practice, no matter what shape your body (or your mind) is in.

But I get it, you probably don't really care about who I am and why I created the Iyengar Practice Hub... Right now, all you care about is CAN I ACTUALLY HELP YOU! Well, since the beginning of my teaching career (way back in 1997) I have successfully guided thousands of students, and the feedback continues to inspire me... people are blown away at how fast yoga improves their lives on all levels: physically, mentally and emotionally when they follow a regular practice.

What skill level is this program for?

The classes in the Iyengar Practice Hub are aimed at those who have had some yoga experience. Many of the classes are designed for the Intermediate practitioner (including those who are teaching yoga), however there are numerous classes that are Gentle and are suitable for those with less experience

How long do I have access to the classes?

After enrolling, you have unlimited access to all the classes in the Iyengar Practice Hub for as long as you like - across any and all devices - as long as you stay subscribed.

Can't I learn all of this on Youtube?

My YouTube channel is a fantastic resource, however those videos are never full length classes. They are more tutorial type videos with only a few poses per sequence.

The Iyengar Yoga Hub provides you with the progressive step-by-step learning and intelligent sequencing of a full class (including Savasana).

If you want to learn in a systematic way, from a highly experienced and qualified teacher, how to do the poses with good technique, correct use of props and inspirational sequencing then Iyengar Practice Hub is for you.
